The Ending Violence Against Children (EVAC) Taskforce and Thrive Coalition is hosting an event featuring evidence-based interventions on preventing violence against children globally, on Capitol Hill, 12-1pm, 12 February 2024.

Register to attend this congressional briefing featuring Dr. Daniela Ligiero, PhD, Chief Executive Officer & President of Together for Girls and Dr. Greta Massetti, PhD, Principal Deputy Director for CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control who will discuss the Violence Against Children and Youth Surveys (VACS) and evidence-based solutions to prevent violence against children globally.

Quality, comprehensive data are critical to illuminating the pervasive problem of violence against children, and are an essential tool for governments to develop and implement effective policies and programs. The U.S. Government supports the Violence Against Children and Youth Surveys (VACS), nationally representative household surveys on children's experiences of physical, sexual, and emotional violence. VACS have been implemented in 25 countries, led by national governments with technical support from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as part of the Together for Girls partnership. The VACS are the largest global data source for violence against children, adolescents, and youth worldwide.

Join us to learn about the power of data to drive policy, implement new and improved programming, and build evidence, helping to create a safer world for children.
