UNESCO and UNGEI, on behalf of the Global Working Group to End SRGBV, invite you to a virtual event taking place to launch a new brief entitled "School violence: Why gender matters and how to measure school-related gender-based violence."
The event will emphasize the importance of considering gender in efforts to prevent and respond to school violence. It will explore the use of existing measurement tools to estimate the extent and scope of gender-based violence in schools.
Speakers will include Stefania Giannini (Assistant Director General for Education at UNESCO), Antara Ganguli (Director of UNGEI), Maria Nguyen (SDG4Youth Network and Family Planning Australia), Bamba Adjaratou (Ministry of Education and Literacy, Côte d'Ivoire), and other experts working in the fields of school violence, gender and measurement.
Join us to learn about the data sources supporting the measurement of SRGBV, and good practices from countries on how this data has influenced policies and programmes.
