Alex Nowak is the Deputy Director of Communications at Together for Girls, where she develops communications strategies, supports the communications director, and manages communications-focused projects within TfG’s core initiatives.
For over a decade, Alex has held social impact- and health-focused communications positions in both agency and in-house settings. With an MSc in Behavioral Science (specializing in wellbeing) from the London School of Economics, her work centers on creating and raising awareness of interventions designed to improve societal health and wellbeing.
Alex brings a cross-sector perspective to her work. She has supported international nonprofits with partnership engagement, recruitment materials and events. She has also advised Fortune 50 companies on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) communications strategies and reporting, and co-led a medical center's COVID-19 crisis communications. Her national media placements, which highlighted multimedia storytelling and data, earned her awards from the Public Relations Society of America.
Currently based in the UK, Alex hails from the Washington, DC-area of the US.
