Uganda Humanitarian Violence Against Children and Youth Survey (HVACS) factsheet

12th September 2024

The Baobab Research Program Consortium (RPC) led the survey with the Government of Uganda’s Office of the Prime Minister, Department of Refugees (OPM-DoR); the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR); and several UNHCR implementing partners, with funding from the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Together for Girls provided technical support and learnings from the implementation of VACS in non-humanitarian settings in over 20 countries, while Uganda’s Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development (MGLSD) provided the same from their experience of leading the country’s 2015 VACS in non-humanitarian contexts.

Explore the main findings from the first-ever Humanitarian Violence Against Children & Youth Survey (HVACS) in Uganda.
