The Government of Zimbabwe led the implementation of their first Violence Against Children and Youth Survey (VACS) in 2011, and launched the VACS report in 2012.

The Zimbabwe Ministry of Health and Child Care coordinated the implementation of the VACS with support from PEPFAR and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

In 2017, the Government of Zimbabwe repeated the VACS, publishing the second report in 2019.
