No longer afforded the status and protections conferred to children, nor recognized as adults, adolescent girls are often overlooked by efforts that serve women or children.
Around 120 million girls worldwide have experienced forced intercourse or other forced sexual acts at some point in their lives, according to UNICEF. While we know that adolescent girls experience devastating rates of sexual violence, they are often ignored in traditional prevention and response efforts.
That's where we come in.
