1 in 10 children in the United States will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday. The more than 42 million American survivors of child sexual abuse and child sexual violence, deserve and demand prevention, healing, justice and action.
Keep Kids Safe, the US-based platform of the Brave Movement, is a diverse survivor and child-centered movement engaging communities and leaders to drive holistic federal action and systematic change to keep kids safe from sexual violence. The United States guarantees the fundamental rights of children and adolescents to be safe from sexual violence and access to healing, prevention, and justice.
In 2020, Together for Girls co-launched Keep Kids Safe with Darkness to Light, the National Children’s Alliance, CHILD USA, Prevent Child Abuse America, SNAP, The Army of Survivors, and the Monique Burr Foundation for Children.
In 2021, Keep Kids Safe released the US National Blueprint to End Sexual Violence Against Children and Adolescents, a roadmap that outlines steps the United States federal government can take to prevent sexual violence against children and adolescents, and ensure that those who experience sexual violence have access to healing and justice.
